Matt Maynard and Jim Irwin Join Forces to Expand Irwin Yacht Sales in the Pacific Northwest

With Jim Irwin’s professional guidance, Matt Maynard’s Sacramento Yacht Sales became one of the largest brokerage firms in Northern California in the 2000s.

In 2006, Maynard and Irwin partnered to expand their presence in the Pacific Northwest by opening Irwin Yacht Sales in Seattle. Their successful partnership has allowed Irwin Yacht Sales to establish itself as one of the most recognized and respected yacht brokerage firms in the Pacific Northwest.

In 2015, Matt Maynard purchased the remaining rights to Irwin Yacht Sales.

While Jim Irwin continues to work as a select broker and consultant for the company. Until his passing in February 2018, Jim dedicated his time to helping others and promoting integrity in the marine industry. His legacy continues to be an inspiration to the Irwin Yacht Sales team.

Jim Irwin and Matt Maynard – A commitment to the marine industry and local trade associations

Matt follows in Jim’s footsteps by actively contributing. In fact, he is an active contributor to the marine industry through his involvement in local marine trade associations.

Like Jim, who served as President of the Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA) and as one of the founding members of the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association (NYBA), Matt has also served as President of NYBA for two terms and on its Board of Directors for over ten years. As a member of the Certified Professional Yacht Brokers program, Matt helps promote continuing education for yacht brokers.
