The foundation of Hanse Yachts
The shipyard as Hanse Yachts officially started its activity in 1990 with the construction of sailing yachts by hand.
Indeed, the quality and craftsmanship at Hanse is evident right from the start. In particular, with its first serial model Hanse 291. The yacht was a huge success in Germany and also broke several records in Europe and internationally.
What were the first Hanse models?
In 1999, the shipyard launched the Hanse 371, the first yacht of the company’s own design. In addition, the boat was awarded the same year for “European Yachts of the year”.
Then in 2003, the shipyard launched the Hanse 531. Notably, it is the first serial yacht, superior to 15 meters.
As a result, in 2005, HanseYachts expands its network in France and also in the United States.
Development of the brand
In 2007 the prestigious brand Fjord joined the HanseYachts AG brand.
Also in 2007 the famous sailing yacht brand Moody joined the German shipyard. As a result, the shipyard expands its production capacities to build high-end sailing yachts of more than 17 meters.
Then, in 2009, the yard acquired one of the leading sailboat manufacturers Dehler. And in 2013, the famous motorboat builder Sealine was acquired as well. HanseYachts will further position itself in the sailing and motor boat market with the purchase of the Privilege shipyard in 2017.
In 2020, a new racing model is born – Dehler 30 One, with the launch of a new class: Double-Handed-Mixed.
In 2021, HanseYachts expands its boat ranges by creating a new boat brand – RYCK Yachts.
In summary, today HanseYachts comprises 6 brands of production sailing and motor boats. With this, the shipyard has positioned itself as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sailing and motor boats.
